Recently we've received a message from the sponsor who asked us how to know that traffic is from NGO she donated. That inspired us to explain to all sponsors registered via Whenvisited how to measure the sources of traffic to their website. We hope that this blog article will provide useful support in this topic.

Number of visits and their specification is usually extremely valuable information for sponsors who promote their business via campaign on Whenvisited platform. However, how sponsor can know which source led user to his/ her e-commerce and how many unique users visited a specific landing page? Below you will find three suggested ways.

The first one is diagram and it appears during campaign on Whenvisited. It's presented as a chart at sponsor's section and shows both amount of unique and non unique visits and what was the worth of them:

The other method is the research collected by Google Analytics. It's a freemium web analytics service offered by Google and it tracks and reports website traffic, less or more detailed. Integrated with AdWords, user of GA can review online campaigns by tracking landing page and collect information about quality and conversions (goals achieved). Moreover, there are many of them which could be useful for sponsor, such as those about lead generation, sales, visitors of specific page or downloading files.
Similar method called URL's tracking is recommended to be used when you're directing traffic to a landing page from place other than a 'call-to-action' on your own site.
